“1st Stop: Marcy Ave” is a group exhibition exploring the experience of movement through New York City’s transit system.The NYC subway is more than transportation it is a shared space of rhythm, culture, noise, solitude, performance, exhaustion, and connection. Every ride carries stories: late-night trains, crowded rush hours, underground musicians, graffiti, reflections in dark windows, and the endless motion of the city.

Blurred bodies evoke a passage through unseen worlds, echoing ancient journeys through the Duat, the Egyptian underworld where souls travel between realms. In the rhythm of daily transit, the subway becomes a modern ritual of crossing, where movement through darkness suggests an eventual return to light.
